How To Make Ceramic Tile Coasters

Making Ceramic Coasters Out of Tiles and Photos and Mod Podge

We’ve all got that one friend who is crafty and can “how-to”  anything.  You know the one.  That friend that no matter what she tackles in the “creative realm” it  turns out AMAZING!

She  could paint a dog turd (I apologize for that image although it’s true) and it would be be ready to sell at any craft show around and everyone would stand in line to buy it.

I know first hand because I’ve got THAT friend…and she knows who she is.

Find Your Inner Artist

Then  there are people like you and I, the ones who want to be creative.   Oh I am innovative and imaginative, don’t get me wrong,  but when it comes to naturally being comfortable with paintbrushes and wood-burners

I just don’t possess that gift .  Some people are  inherently artistic.   Again,  there are those people  who know Hobby Lobby like the back of “our”, oops I mean “their”  hands.

They can walk through the store blindfolded, in addition to being able to download the weekly coupon, on a smart phone,  quicker  than the gal at the register can check ’em  out.  Can you say 40% off?

In saying that though, I LOVE to make homemade gifts for others and spend most of my nights on my laptop getting ideas from Pinterest.

If you have never been on this website you need to check it out.  It’s easy to maneuver through.   You  can find a diversity of ideas that you would never  EVER dream of or could even think up on your own.

Homemade Gifts Are The Best

I am by no means a guru at crafting…let me just put that out there.   Although that is true, I still like to try new things and maintain that gifts from the heart are the best you can give as well as the most meaningful.

I also conclude that if you are able to help someone achieve the same outcome by sharing your knowledge and experience on a subject then you absolutely should do it…which brings me to this instructional  post.

Below is my FIRST “how-to” video called “How To Make Ceramic Tile Coasters” and it  will be the first of several in a series of basic DIY projects.

I am including a list of supplies and their  links to make it easy for you to get started as soon as possible.
