Sowing Seeds Saturday :)

Today is the kick off of something I do in a Facebook group I have…a daily inspiration…Sowing Seeds Saturday!!!  When I came up with the idea of sowing seeds I had the intention of “we reap what we sow”, sooooooooo we probably ought to be sowing seeds of kindness, wouldn’t you say?

Isaiah 28:23-29

“Give ear and hear my voice, Listen and hear my words. Does the farmer plow continually to plant seed? Does he continually turn and harrow the ground? Does he not level its surface And sow dill and scatter cummin And plant wheat in rows, Barley in its place and rye within its area?
For his God instructs and teaches him properly. For dill is not threshed with a threshing sledge, Nor is the cartwheel driven over cummin; But dill is beaten out with a rod, and cummin with a club. Grain for bread is crushed, Indeed, he does not continue to thresh it forever. Because the wheel of his cart and his horses eventually damage it, He does not thresh it longer. This also comes from the LORD of hosts, Who has made His counsel wonderful and His wisdom great.”

I love this scripture!!!!  It really makes you stop and think. Sometimes I know that I can speak harshly of others and that’s just not right. Something I’m working on. Your words can sometimes catapult right into another’s deepest place and at times get stuck, residing there. I don’t think we, as compassionate people, really want to be responsible for planting negative in another’s soul. Today, think twice before you speak out loud. Speak kindness over judgement or hate. Change your focus in order to change another’s focus. Let’s be positive today!!!! Even if all you can muster is for today!! Baby steps and you’ll get there!

Sowing seeds, good and kind seeds, are part of God’s work for us.  We are his worker bees and the seeds we sow are the honey we are producing for him.

Wear kind words on your skin today and see just how beautiful YOU look as well as how beautiful the PERSON you’re directing them to.

Happy Saturday!!!!
